In Praise of the Spinach Breakfast Burrito with Bacon

NO SHORTAGE of love is professed for Atwater Village's Tacos Villa Corona (3185 Glendale Blvd.) especially for breakfast by the eater behind Starvin' Like Marvin:
Do I stick with a winner? Yes. So, That's why I go to Tacos Villa Corona at least once a week... All I ever order lately is the Spinach Breakfast burrito with bacon. And oh, the bacon!! My friends and I have had a few discussions about this heavenly stuff. They won't tell you where they get it, I've asked. It's that good. Big smoky chunks of bacon tucked into your eggs and cheese etc. makes it the best burrito around... Viva Villa Corona!
Still waiting for the same kind of rabid love letter to newly-opened across-the-street rival, Hugo's Tacos.

Dude. Hugo's is gross.

Hugos isn't bad, but Villa Corona rocks. Try the steak and potato burriot with just cheese, salsa and their hot sauce. Holy burrito, it is.

Tortilla burrito... when the guy is there he uses chips. Mmm. Word of advice: I once watched him scream at a chick to "GET OUT" because she asked for too many substitutions. It was amazing.

Yeah TVC doesn't take too kindly to substitution requests. They've "gringoed" up their menu enough.

omg, the spinach burrito add bacon (or add steak, or even BOTH) is so incredibly perfect. At one point I was on a twice a week stint, tried to pull back for the waist-line but those are REALLY amazing burritos. The hot sauce is perfect too, and I love how the burrito is slightly different but always amazing depending on which family member makes it (the hot sauce too).

Hugo's is not gross. The chicken tacos with honey chipotle are very good. And my vegan and veggie friends rave about it. Overpriced though. And Tacos Villa Corona still has my heart.
