Woof Boutique Already Ready for Valentines Day

SOMETHING WE'VE noticed for months now: The first (and sometimes only) Atwater Village storefront themed for each holiday is Woof Dog Boutique, 3172 Glendale Blvd. Their Christmas trees were barely recycled when their giant red heart went up for Valentines Day.

We don't know yet what Woof learned from the appearance on the Peter Perfect business makeover show (their episode is Saturday) but I bet it had something to do with holiday theming. (And maybe community involvement; they've also become active sponsors of many neighborhood activities!)

Actually I can remember WOOF being pretty holiday conscious since the start from their ever changing front window displays and their participation in the Halloween Dog costume contests for more than 2 years now. I think what the show helped with most is the inside, which was also very decorated but maybe a little too crowded with its abundance of toys and clothes and gifts displayed everywhere. Now the store has more "controlled" displays with stuff off the floor, a new shelving system and a "less is more" style with less inventory on display. Too bad I don't get the STYLE channel, because I was only able to see snippets of the show on the net. Anyhow, it's good press for the store and good press for Atwater Village.
