BUT THAT DOESN'T mean that the Chowhounders who already tried it have much good to report: "Reasonable at $6.99, I opened the Styrofoam container to find a shriveled thimble size whole bird, too lanky even to be a Cornish game hen... Now of course, Monday, the grand opening, may portend a totally different and vastly improved bird, but it's up for one of you guys to find out." |

Went tonight... the new menu looks EXACTLY like Zankou: chicken, schwarma, falafel, wraps. They weren't serving the new menu yet, so who knows if it'll be good or not...
I ate there this weekend and got the same response about that menu starting on monday... as for what they were serving... it was much of the same fare they had before... and just as gross. Not sure if I'm up for bothering to attempt their new Zankou rip off menu. Fresh paint, and plants not much else.
vote with your dollars people! and just say NO to crap seppan!
Well, the burgers were icky before, but maybe the zankou-style menu will rock. We need good middle eastern food and we can't wait forever for Cafe Bravo to open across the river. What's up with that, anyway?
My friend and I tried the new (Zankou-like) menu. If Zankou is a 10, then this was a 6 (if that). I ordered the chicken shwarma plate. It was surprisingly bland and there was a small, dead mosquito in my to-go styrofoam container!
The one positive thing that they have going for them is fast service with a smile!
I will never eat there again.
