Thursday Night's Fatal Crash at I-5 and Colorado Blvd.

LAST NIGHT Robert Vardanyan, 21, and Tina Uguryan, 18, both from Glendale, died when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Atwater Village, on the Colorado Street offramp from southbound I-5. Officials said their Nissan was speeding and had just cut off another vehicle before crashing. More from Glendale News-Press. Mangled car photo from KTLA.

KTLA inexplicably lists the location as Eagle Rock. I see people speeding and cutting car off at that exit every single day.

The Los Feliz Blvd. exit also has its share of speedups and cutoffs...

Once saw a guy use the shoulder to pass a lane of traffic on the LFB exit...

I drive the 5 S to Glendale from the 134 E every weekday and the traffic through that stretch is pretty desperate in the right three lanes. When approaching Colorado, cars are merging into a single lane and everyone going 65 tries to change lanes so they won't have to slow down, and so people get cut off and upset there. Also, Colorado is where people bail when the traffic is jammed. And they speed through the long off-ramp, or maybe cut people off trying to exit before San Fernando. Very weird area.
