Totally agreed. If the gang war is ratcheting up, police presence better ratchet up too. It's a short term solution, but it's the only solution since government on all levels is unwilling to address the longterm issues.
The fact that there has been 8 murders in the Northeast division since the beginning of the new year -- the division leads all other police divisions -- is something that somehow has escaped most people.
This is a real problem that really needs our community's focus right now.
Waaay back in the day when I was a Sparkletts Man in Atwater Village I refered to Carillon as Carion because it was a dead zone not only in terms of water sales, but bodies too.
