MORE DINING options coming to the southeast side of Glendale Blvd. here in Atwater Village. From a tipster: "Walked past the new cafe that's taken over the old Coldstone building. They finally have their fancy new sign up. Been told that they will be open for business in the next two weeks." (Cold Stone Creamery closed its location at 3134 Glendale Blvd. back in December 2008.)
Does anyone know if this new Revo Cafe is the art-themed coffee, juice and organic food cafe we heard about this summer? Does it have anything to do with the Revo Coffee and Cigarette Cafe in Glendale? New location? Entirely different business?
UPDATE: It's possible Atwater Village's new Revo Cafe has some connection with a similarly-named establishment (Revo Cafe, a.k.a. De-Revolution) formerly of the Adams Hill neighborhood in Glendale. If so, read why Glendale neighbors weren't thrilled.

looks like the same logo as the revo in Glendale that was pretty much chased out for their shinanigans with the city and the neighbors. The Adams Hill home association forum has extensive threads on this. Maybe they cleaned up there act and are trying a new town.
They're advertising for a sandwich maker so it appears they are sincere about serving food. Tobacco too? Ew. That's a draw for every black clad poseuer hipster in a 20 mile radius.
Revo's connection to another now closed Revo cafe in another part of town is this- same name, different owner. The owner of Atwater's new Revo cafe is a gentleman who was initially a partner with the now closed original Revo cafe. Atwater's Revo cafe owner left the original cafe, and partnership, because he was not at all happy with the direction his partner was going in. So once the original Revo closed, he recycled the name and logo he created, and set out to open a new cafe in Atwater, this time doing it right, under his terms without any affiliation with the previous owner. I live in Atwater and I've watched it struggle to hang on to merchants on Glendale Blvd. so I'm alarmed this blog is spreading damaging half truths about a new business with all good intentions for the community. The fact is we have a new jazz and arts cafe serving made to order crepes with an owner eager to support Atwater. The failings of the negligent partner are long gone and so is he. So quite your gossiping and eat a crepe.
"Quit your gossiping and eat a crepe." That's a catchy slogan.
Hello everyone,
I am the manager at Revo Cafe. I want to clearify some rumors that are going around. we DO NOT sell ciggerettes, nor de we promote smoking. but what we do promote is a good latte, french crepe, delicious panini, and a fun, social, relaxing place for atwater village people and anyone else looking to escape to some where. We have no part with the old revo in glendale. Yes our owner once was a partner there but did not like the way things were being down there. he left shortly after there opening. Please dont judge us by some other cafe. we are here not only to serve great coffee to anyone wanting it(also at a great price) but to help atwater grow. i was born and raised in Los Angeles and never heard of atwater till i came to Revo. So lets put the past be hind us and move forward on bettering atwater village. come down talk with me have a cup of coffee and i promise yo uwill not wanna go any where else
I dont know what the hell this "jake" manager is talking about... first of all he has introduced himself to me various of times and i just dont think he fits the criterias of being an honest manager. He claims they dont promote smoking and all you see is him sloutching smoking cigaretts including the employees... I will never eat there again... they keep hiring ppl that dont know what they are doing and take forever to send out your orders, ive gone a few times but i think im done with this place... seems they fire all the good workers.. maybe this so called manager should be let go and they should bring in new management that is actually proffesional....
